February DVL Signups

We are nearing the end of our January term, meaning the A-Team will be selecting the DVLs for February. If you are interested in putting your name out there and want to become a DVL, comment in this thread.



Keep in mind these points to qualify:
1. Be an active member of both the Server and the Community as a whole. This is defined by:

• Playing in game and being on the Teamspeak often, while also interacting with other members of the community.
• Having a forum account older than a month which you have posted in multiple threads not authored by yourself.
• A DVL needs to be active to have their division do well. If you do not have the time do not run. If you do not plan on working with others do not run.

2. Be known and liked by a majority of the attending staff as well as High Command.

• If someone is not liked within the community, it would be difficult for them to run a division as they will not get along with the people they need to interact with in order to be successful.
• A bad reputation is also a sign of someone who should not be put into a position like DVL as they may be a rule breaker, minge or disrespectful person.

3. Know what you are doing.

• If you are running, have a plan for how you will make the division more successful than it currently is at the time of the election. Give examples of the issues as well as state your solutions to the problems.
• You will also need to have been a part of the division in some way. EX: If you have never played or rarely play as a researcher you should absolutely not be running for Research DVL.
• Have an understanding of what the Division is supposed to be in the context of the server and the SCP universe.

Requirements of each DVL:

Security Chief:

• Needs to enforce what is already set and make sure it doesn’t break.
• Pick competent Captains to lead branches and pick them in a timely manner if vacant.
• Talk to their SOC and potential SOC on a regular basis.
• Be active on TS and the Server.
• Be aware of happenings within Security.
• Must be at least an SOC Member.

MTF Commander:

• Be open to Chat-RP. (Anomalies in and around the desert must be contained. This includes undocumented ones.)
• Pick competent and experienced Alphas. (Being good at RP is preferred.)
• Be active on TS and the server and speak with their MTF regularly.
• Recruit MTF as needed to keep MTF active.
• Ensure those already in MTF are active and remain active.
• Be aware of happenings within the MTF.
• Must be at least an MTF Agent.

Head Researcher:

• Needs to enforce what is set and make sure it doesn’t break.
• Pick competent Supervisors.
• Ensure Supervisors are active and doing their jobs properly.
• Make sure Researcher and Senior Researcher Applications are done in a timely manner by either themself or their Supervisors.
• Be active on TS and the server as Head Researcher, promoting RP via testing, projects, etc.
• Check research logs on a regular basis.
• Be aware of happenings within Research.
• Must be at least a Senior Researcher.

CI Commander:

• Be active on TS and the server as CI Commander, promoting RP for the CI.
• Appoint capable Gammas and not just promote them to fill slots.
• Make sure CI Applications are done in a timely manner by either themself or their Gammas.
• Don’t do any stupid chat RPs without a clear goal and clear directions in mind (and without approval).
• Be aware of happenings within Operation Jupiter.
• Regulate Operation Jupiter's supplies.
• Must be at least a Beta level Operative.

Head IRUC:

• Needs to enforce what is set and make sure it doesn’t break.
• Pick competent IRUC.
• Make sure IRUC applications are done in a timely manner.
• Be active on TS and the server as Head IRUC, promoting RP via testing, projects, etc.
• Check IRUC logs frequently.
• Be aware of happenings within IRUC.
• Must be at least a IRUC Researcher.

Area Director:

• Supervise other Foundation DVLs.
• Make sure other divisions in the Foundation are working effectively and correctly.
• Must be a manager.

D-Class:

• Have a Class-D+ whitelist.
• Actively play as D+.
• Encourage and be a model for role play in D-Block.
• Must be at least D+.

I am not running for CI Commander next month. I have work and other shit I gotta take care of which would make it a bit difficult to be DVL.

If any of you feel like you have more than half a brain cell and a plan, I'll help you run for CI Commander, just ask. I would preferably want you ALL to run to have the most choices, but you should have a plan beforehand.
